St. Peter's Slinfold Appeal Fund
Why the Appeal?
The St Peter's Slinfold Appeal of 2001 was launched primarily to raise funds to build an annexe to the northwest corner of the Nave to include a toilet (with disabled facilities) and a utility area, and with secondary objectives of internal improvements to other parts of the Church.
During our Patronal Festival in June 2010, the reaching of a significant phase in our development programme was acknowledged when Rev. John Gay, dedicated the new annex.
Parishioners and visitors have commented positively about the addition and how in keeping it is with the existing church building.
The development has been the subject of a focused fund raising effort over many years to allow the church to expand its role in the community. The annex has provided a utility area and disabled toilet.
Along with the building of the annex, other noticeable improvements have been the refurbishment of the chancel floor and new tiling to the west end of the church.
Future phases include increased storage areas and the creation of a quiet area at the rear of the church
