St. Peter's Slinfold Appeal Fund
Why the Appeal?
The St Peter's Slinfold Appeal of 2001 was launched primarily to raise funds to build an annexe to the northwest corner of the Nave to include a toilet (with disabled facilities) and a utility area, and with secondary objectives of internal improvements to other parts of the Church. The Horsham District Council planning permission (2004) is for a small single-storey annexe - see item 2 in Figure below
The fund has now reached £127,000 on the way to the initial target of £130,000 to cover this first phase. The building work includes the provision of mains water and drainage services to the church which do not exist at present.
The Parochial Church Council (PCC) has applied for a Church 'Faculty' (internal C of E planning permission), and hopes to go to tender soon.

- Talents Scheme
- After the example of the Parable of the Talents (St. Matthew's Gospel, chap.25) St. Peter's Church in Slinfold recently gave parishioners the sum of £10, for them to increase it by the use of their own talents, for the appeal fund. The intention was that the initial stake be returned in January 2008 with whatever increase had been achieved, and this resulted in just over £3500

- An ongoing activity; Eileen and Janet and occasionally others have preserves and baked goods and some produce available for sale after the 9.30am service most Sundays. If you want something special produced, talk to them about it (but do give them enough advance warning)
- Church Tower Abseil
- The Rector, together with one or two other parishioners plan to do a sponsored abseil down the outside of the Church Tower next summer. Watch out for details.
